iPod colour.

The iPod is a great device. The problem is, everyone has one. And they all look the same. Thanks to the iVue panel and some paint, I can be different in a completely meaningless way!

Lumenlab LCD Projector

Take a 30000 lumen lamp intended for lighting parking lots, stick it behind a 15" LCD, add some optics, and you get a quality 8' screen for under $600. Ghetto moddin at its best!

Tree of Life

So this was the very first mod I ever did, and it's awesome! Actually it sucked, I painted with matte paint and tried to get a gloss finish, snipped a lot of wires that I shouldn't have and tried to use a power sander on the case. But hey, learn from your mistakes, and in the end it did turn out rather nice. Sort of.

Digital LED VU Meter

You play music, it blinks. Productivity at it's finest!

4x20 Character LCD (HD44780)

Picked this up in China for $5. A little bit of soldering, time and some, uh, colourful words later, I got a nice auxilary LCD. My first journey into the world of DIY electronics.

Wet Floor PC - Prototype

So, I "acquired" a wet floor sign from school courtesy of some friends. It sat on my floor for a while, until i put it over a motherboard box since I was short of space. Then it hit me (the same way a car hits a deer) that the board fits perfectly under the sign AND it's got an integrated handle! This is just a first attempt, once I get some better tools to work with acrylic I'm going to make a much more refined version.

Record Player PC Rebuild... Thing.

Garage sale! $15 and it didn't even work, what a ripoff. 6 months later, it's a fully working computer with dual TV tuners, 500GB of storage, a monitor in the top... Was it worth it? Probably not. Was it frustrating? Very. Did I have fun? Hells yes.

Modding is kickass.
